 | In general this process could be divided in five stages.
The first stage is gathering information about the prototype. We look into various
available sources and, if information is not sufficient, we address some
historical and railroad societies.
|
 | After all the necessary information has been
found, we start construction of a master-model which will be the base for
future production. This is the most laborious and crucial stage. We make a
full 7mm copy of the prototype including all details (from boogies to seats'
armrests) and carefully think over a builder-friendly design in the smallest
things to make the process of future model building as easy as possible.
|
 | Then we make casts of all details using specially-developed high-quality
American silicone which guarantee quality of final products.
|
 | The next step is casting of the model
components. The body is cast as one piece, which is a precise copy of the master-model and
therefore doesn't have any joints. For our models we also use high-quality French
resin which meets EU standards.
|
 | And the final stage is painting and assembling
the model. The detailed description of this process you can find at our
'Kit building' page.
